A contract is concluded to establish the first technology university in the country
A joint contract was concluded between the Vice-Presidency and the Islamic Azad University to Establish a “technology university in Pardis Innovation Region”. The contract was signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Mohammad Mahdi Tehranchi, the head of the Islamic Azad University.
“Sharing sources” and “optimal use of the available capacities and innovation, technology, science, research, and educational abilities of Pardis Technology Park and the Islamic Azad University” were the topics of the contrasts in order to create a more efficient model of the technology-university-industry relationship. Establishment of the first technology university will be realized by signing this contract.
During the ceremony, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed: Great things have happened at Islamic Azad University with the new management, and today we are witnessing one of the most coordinated managements in the field of knowledge-based economy at this university.
He continued: it is important to realize that the Islamic Azad University does not require receiving fees and selling lands to meet its financial needs since its primary asset is the creative, active, and innovative young force. By investing on knowledge-based companies, the Islamic Azad University lays the foundation for the entrepreneurship of startups and allocates a considerable amount of its income to this area.
According to Sattari, the University moves toward the entrepreneurship university and plays a role in occupation creation and entrepreneurship.

Today, an agreement was signed to establish Shamsa specialized accelerator in order to witness the development and establishment of accelerators in each province. Another agreement was signed to join the family of the innovation and technology ecosystem of Pardis Technology park so that all capacities of universities are used in the center.
