Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited technological projects and exhibitions in Ilam province. In addition, the president of the national elites foundation attended Ilam Science and Technology Park to visit several construction projects in the center. The Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs has aimed to strengthen the innovation ecosystem in the province by allocating new resources and creating the infrastructures required in the center.

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the exhibition of technological projects and the latest achievements of knowledge-based companies based in the province.

In addition to introducing their knowledge-based products, startups activities shared their challenges with the vice president for science and technology affairs.

Sattari also visited the youth innovation and acceleration center, jihad university cyberspace business development center, Ilam Azad University Innovation Center, Ilam university innovation and technology complex and library projects, comprehensive research laboratory and laboratory animal breeding and reproduction center of Ilam university of medical sciences.

Opening the Human-Livestock Joint Diseases Research Center

Ilam Province has very significant capacities for industrial and semi-industrial livestock and exports a part of livestock products of the province to Iraq. Given the policies of the Vice-Presidency used to strengthen the pillars of the innovation ecosystem in the province based on its reservoirs and supports the development of technologies related to livestock.

Accordingly, Sattari attended the opening ceremony of human-livestock joint diseases research center of Ilam University of Medical Sciences.

Ilam university research greenhouses complex was also opened during Sattari’s trip to the province.

Opening a Factory Based on IoT Technology

The project of opening the factory of automation equipment production of Ilam Science and Technology Park was carried out in the presence of the vice president. This technology unit produces various equipments based on intelligent technology, IoT and IT will be part of the technologies used in this factory, which will be established with the direct support of the Vice-Presidency. This factory has 2800 meters of workshop space and four thousand five hundred meters of office space and 200 billion Rials of credit has been allocated for its construction.
