Over a decree, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, appointed Parviz Karami as the secretary of the headquarters for knowledge-based economy culture-building and development of soft and creative industries.
Sattari addresses Parviz Karami in the decree, stating:
In line with increasing the quality and speed of activities at the Vice-Presidency, the two headquarters of soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, and the headquarters for knowledge-based economy culture-building are integrated and you are hereby appointed as the secretary of the new center with the recommendation of the president of the strategic technologies development center due to your practical and scientific competence and level of commitment.
It is expected that the purposeful activities of the headquarter in the field of soft and identity-making technologies and the process of commercialization of humanities be accelerated by relying on creating and supporting companies in this field as well as quantitative and qualitative promotion of companies and startups in the field of creative industries as a complementary program to support knowledge-based companies.
