Establishment of the First Innovation Center in the Field of Agriculture Entitled “iTech”; A Memorandum of Understanding Is Signed

The first memorandum of understanding to establish the first "iTech" innovation center in the agriculture field was signed between the vice president for science and technology affairs and the ministry of agriculture to meet technological needs using Iranian-made solutions of knowledge-based companies.

The memorandum was signed by Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Kazem Khavazi, the minister of agriculture. Signing this agreement will pave the way for the establishment of “iTech” international business and innovation centers in the field of agriculture to boost production in the agricultural sector with "Iran-made" products.

Increasing productivity in Iran's agricultural system is the purpose of signing this memorandum, which paves the way for the realization of using the capacity, scientific, educational and executive capabilities of public and private institutions to create culture and develop innovation in the agricultural sector.

In addition, other topics of the agreement include technological, economic and scientific capacities of the two sides in activating potential capabilities and developing cooperation in the field of agriculture.

Of course, the establishment, equipping and development of the "iTech" Agricultural Innovation Trade Center in the location of the Karaj Innovation Tower is another matter of understanding.

The technological products of knowledge-based companies and teams based in specialized accelerators of agriculture will be sold with the support of the development of these centers.

In addition, the agreement will facilitate the provision of investment solutions in agricultural area and attracting investors and financial resources in projects.

The memorandum also considers the participation of knowledge-based companies and startup accelerator centers in agricultural development. Of course, synergy in order to use the capacity of investment funds in this field and synergy in using the capacity of science and technology parks in the country are other issues that are implemented.

A cooperation agreement was signed to support the growth and development of products related to agriculture and food security during the ceremony as well.
