Development of technological cooperation between Iran and Cuba based on strategic technologies

The President of Cuba visited Iran's House of Technology and Innovation and expressed the country's interest in benefiting from Iran's technological capabilities in the field of strategic technologies such as nano, biotechnology and medicine.

According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Miguel Diaz-Canel, the President of Cuba, on Monday evening, December 4, this month, accompanied by Ruhollah Dehghani, the Vice-President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, and Bahram Einollahi, the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education visited Iran's innovation and technology house.

Pointing out that the Cuban authorities, including the president of that country, are interested in the development of science and technology and the use of Iran's innovative capacities, Dehghani said: In this regard, very good multilateral meetings between government officials and the private sector, business managers and the investors of the two countries have been held and we are currently in the phase of concluding contracts and implementing joint technological projects in the operational phase.

The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy stated that Cubans have come to believe that Iran is a leader in the field of advanced technologies such as nanotechnology and biotechnology, and continued: Cuba, recognizing this capability of Iran, will use its favorite subjects to use the achievements. Iran's experiences and capabilities have been expressed and this interaction is realized in the form of joint projects, supply of knowledge-based products and services, and technology transfer.

Referring to the various fields of cooperation between Iran and Cuba, he said: cooperation fields have been provided in various fields, including human vaccines, livestock, poultry and aquatics, smart farms and greenhouses, medical equipment, medicine and pharmaceutical raw materials.

Referring to the signing of the scientific, technological and industrial cooperation document between the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment in the Republic of Cuba, Dehghani said: This cooperation agreement will help advance and accelerate the defined axes of cooperation. And it will bring promotion and development of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries.
