According to the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, traveled to Ilam Province this morning, to visit knowledge-based projects and achievements in the west of the country. In a meeting with Hojjatoleslam Allah Noor Karimi Tabaar, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Ilam Province, he emphasized the special support of the 14th government for the flourishing of the sector's capacities and the development of the knowledge-based economy in the provinces and said: Mr. President pays special attention to Ilam Province, the high capacities of this province in terms of human resources, oil and gas resources, nature and geographical location, and the route of the pilgrims to Karbala are remarkable.

The head of the National Elites Foundation, emphasizing the use of the province's human capital, said: "We have elite and talented human capital in Ilam province, and we are ready to provide any support and preparation to ensure the sustainability of these people in the province. Elites are the most important pillar of the country, and their role in solving sectoral problems can pave the way for accelerating progress and sustainable development."

Afshin, emphasizing the importance of scientific and technological development in the country, stated: Supporting knowledge-based companies and expanding the technological ecosystem is a fundamental solution for the sustainable progress in the country. Ilam Province has valuable capacities in this field that should be exploited in the best possible way.

The Vice President of Science continued: We will have serious and greater support for universities, elites, knowledge-based companies, and the Science and Technology Park of this province.

Afshin, referring to the special attention of the 14th government to the role of Ilam province in international interactions, said: "Ilam is a border province and a significant volume of commodity exchanges, border cooperation, and transits take place through this border province; given the importance of border transactions, especially during the sanctions period, this province has a very important role and position in international interactions. Accordingly, the government's attention is focused on supporting and strengthening this province, and Mr. President pays special attention to Ilam, and special powers for border provinces, including Ilam, are on the government's agenda."

Referring to the government's efforts to solve Ilam's challenges in all areas, the Vice President of Science stated: "I have traveled to this province on behalf of Mr. President and the First Vice President to monitor the problems and identify the damages, and to present a picture of the situation in this province to the government so that through strategic and executive planning, the path to solving the province's problems can be paved. The Vice President of Science considers himself the ambassador of Ilam province to the government, and while following up on the problems of Ilam province, we are taking steps to support the human and technological capacities of this province."
