The project will be implemented through a joint cooperation between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iranian Aviation and Space Industries Association, and the rail transport organization of Iran. The main goal of the project is increasing safety and exploitation of rail lines and trains.

These services will be provided in the fields of "spatial data (line, station, bridge and tunnel collection)", "monitoring, peripheral protection, security", "inspection of installed parts and equipment", "disaster management, crisis and natural disasters and relief" and " the formation of the committee on structure, process, analysis, promotion”.

The memorandum focuses on the automation of locomotives. With the use of digital technologies, the trains used in the rail transportation area will be automized. The operational phase of the project will start in the middle of July using the capacities of knowledge-based companies.

In the first phase of this project, the 5-ram GM train will be automized, and in the next phases, all the old trains will be automized. These projects are implemented with the aim of "intelligent troubleshooting and alarm management to increase productivity", "decrease of malfunctions and preventive measures" and "intelligent maintenance".

According to this memorandum, the localization of parts and sensors used in the train will be pursued using knowledge-based capacities.
