With the official invitation of Indonesian President Joko Widodo, the president went to Jakarta at the head of a high-ranking economic and political delegation in order to deepen and expand relations with the countries of the Asian continent. Also, ministers of foreign affairs, oil, and communication and information technology accompany him in this journey.

President Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raeisi will be officially welcomed by his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo at the Indonesian Presidential Palace this Tuesday morning, and in addition to the joint negotiations of high-ranking delegations and the private meeting of the presidents, important documents of bilateral cooperation between Iran and Indonesia will be signed by the authorities of the two countries.

During this trip, ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Horn, Indonesian House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani, and Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Chairman Bambang Susatiu will meet with Dr. Raeisi.

Also, the Iranian delegation will visit scientific centers.

Meeting and talking with businessmen of Indonesia and Iran, attending and giving a speech at the Jakarta Islamic Cultural Center and meeting with the heads of Islamic organizations in Indonesia are among the other plans of the president in this two-day trip.
