According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, increasing growth of capacities of startups and knowledge-based companies for development of occupation and creating added value is a valuable capacity that can lead to the return of elites to the country. 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated that the increasing growth of startups in the urban transportations has resulted in significant developments in this field during his visit of “Tap30” startup, expressing: currently, more than 45 active startups are working in the transportation area. In addition, interurban transportation has recently improved as well.

Sattari regarded the factors for development of startups and knowledge-based companies to be significantly high occupation level, attraction of added-value elites and solving the problems of the country, affirming: many non-resident Iranian elites have returned to Iran and established their own startups and knowledge-based companies, which have been able to recruit a considerable number of elites.

President of the national elites foundation pointed out the ability of graduated academics in solving the challenges of the society by establishing creative businesses, asserting: this is one of the significantly positive features of startups to provide services with significantly lower costs, as well as higher qualities and access based on innovation. While new services might have some problems, they will be eliminated with the help of people and activists of startups.

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the wide development in the area of service startups and growth of companies of this field with the help of their young founders and CEOs to be the result of realization of an entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem in the country, conveying: flourishing of these startups, which mainly benefit from top elites and graduates of universities, can motivate the other young individuals to create their own innovative businesses and lead to the return of elites to the country and activation of startups.

Sattari stated that the wave of development of startup businesses and knowledge-based companies is being established in all sections of the country, asserting: this infrastructure can create the foundation for returning of non-resident Iranian elites with significantly high outcomes to establish their own businesses and creation of wave of startups based on innovative ideas among the youth.

He regarded moving toward knowledge-based economy to be in line with establishing of startups and knowledge-based companies by the youth, stating: various sections of the country must move toward this area. He also emphasized: effective and decision-making sections of the country must support this trend and help its active path.

Visit of an Entrepreneurial Startup

The vice president for science and technology affairs visited the startup of Tap30, which currently has more than 250 thousand drivers in the city and transports 10 thousand passengers in a day. In this visit, Sattari was accompanied by Milad Monshipour, Founder of Tap30, Parviz Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, Alireza Daliri, deputy for management and resources development headquarter, Seyed Mohammad Hossein Sajadi Nayeri, secretary of soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter, and Hamid Mahini, technical manager of Tap30.

Today marks two years of activity of Tap30 in more than 14 cities of the country. This app has more than four million users and has been able to provide services in urban transportation area with completely localized technology with the help of elites and graduated academics.
