Chairman of Iran national space administration announced that Iran has ranked second in the area of launch technologies and space infrastructures in the region.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, stated about the condition of Iran in the space technology area of the region: we have aimed to create benchmarking in various sectors in aerospace region for better understanding of the condition of Iran among the regional countries.

He added: in this regard, Iran has ranked second in terms of launch and space infrastructures, second in space exploration science, fifth regarding remote sensing, seventh regarding telecommunication, fifth in the satellite technologies section and second regarding navigation section.

Manteghi also asserted: one of the goals of the Iran national space administration is joint cooperation with related organization and centers to develop the required topics and technologies of this field.
