According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the joint student Olympiad committee of stem cells and regenerative medicine and the national center of education of exceptional talents and young researchers established a meeting for planning of the Olympiad on an international level in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of stem cells technologies development headquarter, Fatemeh Mohajerani, head of the national center for education of exceptional talents, and a number of authorities of ministry of education and stem cells technologies development headquarter.

In the beginning of the meeting, head of the national center for education of exceptional talents described the holding of student Olympiads in the past 30 years, stating: these Olympiads are held to promote various sciences in the country and the world. Holding student Olympiad in the area of stem cells and regenerative medicine at an international level is the joint objective of the stem cells technologies development headquarter and the national center for education of exceptional talents and young researcher club.

She added: this center will make the maximum efforts to hold the Olympiad at the international level with the cooperation of the stem cells technologies development headquarter.

Secretary of the stem cells technologies development headquarter explained about the importance of new science of stem cells and regenerative medicine in the world, affirming: this headquarter has aimed to perform key tasks, such as establishing research centers and student Olympiads to promote stem cells and regenerative medicine in the country.

He continued: modern sciences and convergent technologies will create large evolutions in the higher education system of the country in the near future.

Peyman Keyhanvar, technology, entrepreneurship and commercialization advisor of the stem cells technologies development headquarter presented a report on the holding of student Olympiad in the stem cells and regenerative medicine field, expressing: this is the only Olympiad that provides research grants to students and will hold summer camps along with teaching the commercialization of technologies.

During the meeting, necessary measures and activities to hold the Olympiad at the international level were assessed. At the end, Kehanvar proposed the design of a mechanism for commercialization of student ideas to be a new unit in the national center for education of exceptional talents, which was welcomed by the members of the meeting.
