According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the interdisciplinary working group of humanities is established by the Iranian national science foundation according to research needs in this field and high importance of research in this area.

Today, humanities field has been allocated a significant position and has received attention all over the world, including Iran. With regard to the speed of modifications in this area, it has been changed rapidly. In addition, fields related to humanities have been significantly expanded, compared to two decades ago. Fortunately, there is a considerable potential for development of humanities in Iran, in a way that the enhancement of this area leads to the specialization of the majority of these fields.

In this regard, a new working group with the title of “interdisciplinary working group in humanities field” has been established after the confirmation of establishing an interdisciplinary working group in natural sciences and mathematics fields, aiming to support and maintain intellectual, economic and social capital of the country and customize projects. In this working groups, experts, professors and researchers of humanities will be active in areas of economy, management, Islamic sciences, art and architecture.

It is noteworthy that the interdisciplinary working group has two committees with the titles of economy of resistance and human and social resources and social damages, priorities of which will be announced through the website of the foundation after expert evaluations.
