According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the innovation and business festival has been established by the efforts of the growth center of Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology and has been focused on two innovation and technological business areas with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.

Festival of innovation and business is presenting technical and research achievements by students, professors, graduates, entrepreneurs and business  idea owners. In addition, this festival is an opportunity for expressing the industrial needs, which will have a positive impact on passing from industrial investment in knowledge-based businesses toward effective and organized cooperation between industry and university.

The main part of the festival is holding INOCUP competition, consisting of two sections of “innovative ideas” and “business projects”. In this section, the received works are evaluated with technical, management and market indicators. At the end, three teams will be selected in the innovative idea section and three teams will be selected and awarded in the business project section.

In the education and empowering section, six specialized workshops will be held on the requirement of formation of new businesses and startups, which targets the empowering of audiences.

This year, five documents (all produced with the counseling of Rakhshan Bani Etemad, the prominent female director, and Mojtaba Mir Tahmasb) with entrepreneurial contents will be participated in the festival.

The final output of the festival is top projects that in addition to receiving support services of the growth center of the university and other supportive units, has the ability to be invested by venture capitals and other investors to commercialize its project and manufacture the final product.

The INOCAFE event is another program of INOCUP, which includes the gathering of entrepreneurs and managers of startups and knowledge-based companies with the aim of making a network and exchanging experiences.
