The symposium of “perception and vision” will be held March 1^st-4^th, 2018 with the support of Iran national science foundation.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the workshop of “perception and vision” will be held by Rayan center for Neuroscience & Behavior, Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and Neuroscience center of Shanghai.

It is worth noting that Iran National Science Foundation and Science Academy of China are the supporters of this educational workshop.

Holding of this symposium is in line with the activities of the science fund of Silk Road. Therefore, international domestic and foreign scholars will present lectures during March 1^st-4^th, 2018 in Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. After the symposium, three educational workshops will be held, including “extracellular electrophysiology in cat visual cortex”, “visual psychology” and “thalamocortical fluctuations”, in order to take a step toward empowering the society of cognitive neuroscience in Iran.

Silk Road Science Fund (SRSF) support joint research activities of the fund and science academy of China in seven areas of nanotechnology, renewable energies, cognitive sciences, advanced material, artificial intelligence, water sciences and medical engineering. These supports are in three types of joint research projects, holding joint workshops and interchange researchers in short-term durations. Holding of this workshop is another step taken by this joint fund toward the realization of its goals.
