According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, penetration rate of the technology businesses in health and medicine fields continues to increase, and educated youth can use their abilities and innovation in the unique market of e-health.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated in visit of the young journal club that the future of the country depends on the realization of knowledge-based economy. He added: all sections of the country must attempt to find ways for entrepreneurship of the young generation, which will soon find its position in the economy of the country and will pave the way for the largest business owners of the country.

He continued: meanwhile, many factories and industries might have 10% growth on an annual basis in the best situation, whereas advanced startups experience weekly 10% growth. This can lead to a great leap in the economy of the country.

Sattari pointed out the high penetration rate of technology in the health field and high potential of the country in establishment of startups in this area, expressing: entering of educated youth to the unique market of technological services and products in the health area leads to the establishment of startups worth of billions. In addition, large active companies in the health and medicine fields can attract the attention of their future business on direct provision of innovative services and products for customers.

Reverse Trend of Elite Immigration

President of the national elites foundation referred to the reverse trend of immigration of elites and creation of an opportunity for their attraction to have a role in startups of the country, affirming: today, with a cost significantly lower than scholarship for a student to study abroad, we have been able to have non-resident Iranian talents in the country.

Sattari also mentioned the 27% growth of Iranian students, compared to the beginning of the Islamic revolution, asserting: rumors on immigration of Iranian talents contradicts the accurate international statistics. The majority of these claimed numbers are based on reports and documents that do not even exist.

President of the knowledge-based economy, technology and science development headquarter stated that the solution for returning top talents and elites to the country is creating a business environment in the country, which is being realized. Today, a significant number of educated youth of the country has been able to establish technological businesses to in addition to solving the problem of societies, they could create occupation and added value.

According to Sattari, one of the most important challenges of the growth of startups is innovative and knowledge-based entrepreneurial culture.

The vice president for science and technology affairs stated that there are still some major problems in the ecosystem of knowledge-based economy, including legal and administrative barriers and import profits. He added: here, the solution is not complete banning of import. However, the tariffs for products and services that have domestic counterparts must be modified. Furthermore, accurate implementation of the classification system in line with helping the domestic knowledge-based businesses can be effective.

According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, what is most important for startups is the reputation obtained from the trust of people in these businesses. Knowledge-based businesses must act in a way that could attract the trust of people, which is the most valuable asset of these businesses.

According to Sattari, entrance of the government to the space of startups leads to rents and disruptions in the creative and knowledge-based business space since reliance on the government results in reduced innovation, competition, attempts for improvement and moving toward the needs of the people.
