"Ben Da" Innovation Center opens; Sattari: Biotechnology is a revenue-generating field for countries; We must transform this field with innovation

"Ben Da" Innovation Center was opened in Fajr town of Tehran with the presence of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology.

The center, which operates in a variety of fields such as biotechnology, nanotechnology, pharmacy, energy, food industry, and health and energy, will help develop the technology ecosystem in these areas by relying on the creativity and innovation of its youth and teams.

There are currently 49 teams based in Ben Da, and more innovative teams will be deployed in the future due to the center's 140-meter space. Immune cell therapy of non-blood cancers, cell bank and exosome bank focusing on corona therapy, and protein engineering to produce enzymes to improve the quality of traditional bread are some of the innovative projects currently supported by the center.

Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology, said at the opening ceremony of the Innovation Center: "The Vice Presidency of Science and Technology supports the opening of innovation centers in the country." Centers where young people can put their ideas into practice and technological products into the market.

Sattari pointed to biotechnology as a revenue-generating field and continued: "The future of the world is in this field and this field is very rich." Moreover, in the field of biotechnology, one gram of material is priced at one million dollars, and this is due to the knowledge contained in that product. So, innovations contribute to the growth and development of this field. of the National Elites Foundation also stated: "Due to national security and economic issues, we have no choice but to localize and innovate in various fields." Like the defense sector, where we have been very strong, we need to develop ecosystem innovation in other areas.

The Vice President of Science and Technology added: "Innovation is not an issue that everyone is capable of." There is tremendous manpower in the country that should be used as an axis of innovation. If education does not lead to value creation and economic growth, it means that this education system has serious problems.
