During the second day of the technological gathering of knowledge-based companies and startups in the field of food industry, three agreements were signed between active companies of the field in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs to improve the knowledge-based activities in food industry.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iran national science foundation hosted the ceremony for signing three cooperation agreements between technologists in the field of food industry in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs and head of Iran national science fund.

These agreements were signed during the technological gathering of food industry held by Iran national science foundation.

Support of Technological Fields of Food Industry by the Vice-Presidency

After signing the agreements, Sattari pointed out the serious determination of the Vice-Presidency to flourish food industry with the help of knowledge-based companies and startups, adding: food industry and knowledge-based equipment of the field are a strategic area, and the Vice-Presidency has predicted support and operational programs to penetrate technology and self-efficacy of technical knowledge in this area. In addition to food industry, we support the development of all industries that are important and strategic for the country with the help of knowledge-based companies and startups.

Given the great importance of food industry and necessity of increasing knowledge-based issues in this area, Sattari asserted: shortages exist in some parts of this wide industry that need technical knowledge and knowledge-based equipment.

The first agreement was signed between Alis Co. and Nasb Niroo Co. to use wasted energy in Alis factory to generate power by a CHP system with the price of seven billion tomans.

Another agreement was signed between Quds Razavi Bread Company and Pooya Tech Co. to provide a solution to increase the durability of donuts and strudels with the price of four billion and 300 million tomans.

The last agreement was signed between Quds Razavi Flour Company and Fanavaran Sharif Co to design and manufacture machinery and equipment for quinoa processing with the price of three billion tomans.

During the two first days of the gathering, knowledge-based companies and startups in the field of food industry have concluded 140 contracts and agreements with the price of 200 billion tomans.

Accompanied with the president of Iran national science fund, the vice president for science and technology affairs attended the gathering and learned about the latest technological achievements of the field. He also talked with activists of these industries.

The interaction, exchange of capabilities and the conclusion of technological cooperation agreements between knowledge-based companies and manufacturers are the results of this technological gathering.
