Sattari: the Value of Knowledge-based Companies Present in the Stock Exchange Market Has Reached 280,000 Billion Tomans

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned during the meeting of “economy of resistance and production leap” held in the capital of Kurdistan Province, stating: the value of knowledge-based companies listed on the stock exchange has reached 280,000 billion tomans. He described relying on local expert forces as a more effective strategy than looking outside and relying on foreign forces.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the vice president for science and technology affairs attended the opening ceremony of two accelerators, several knowledge-based production lines, a growth center, a computer games center and several knowledge-based and technological projects.

The Economy of Resistance Is an Endogenous Phenomenon

In the end of his trip to Kurdistan, Sattari attended the meeting of economy of resistance and production leap held in Kurdistan Governorate.

Pointing out the importance of creative human resources, Sattari expressed: it should be noted that the resistance economy is an endogenous phenomenon and no one can give it to you from outside the province.

The vice president for science and technology affairs talked about the province’s move toward technology, adding: provincial managers must focus more than anything on reducing administrative barriers. An entrepreneur should feel that the collection manager and expert are with him when referring to the government apparatus and institution. Eliminating conflicting laws and dealing with young people with ideas and creativity are some of the solutions that can help create a knowledge-based economy.

Development of Science and Technology Parks

Sattari mentioned a rich historical and cultural background for Kurdistan, asserting: the development of science and technology parks and growth centers throughout the province is necessary and inevitable to achieve sustainable development. Of course, despite the good progress that has been achieved in the province's science and technology park, the capacities of this park are still not commensurate with the needs of the province, and in this regard, development measures must be taken. In the Vice-Presidency, the necessary credits will be allocated to the development of science and technology parks.

The president of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy continued: last year, the sales of knowledge-based companies exceeded 120,000 billion tomans. At present, the value of knowledge-based companies listed on the stock exchange has reached 280,000 billion tomans. This path is still ongoing and we must redouble our efforts. In particular, it should be noted that our country has a history of 5,000 years in the field of trade and utilization of knowledge and technology.

Addressing managers and authorities of the province, Sattari marked: the development of growth centers in the province, spending and investing to flourish the creativity of the youth, the development of companies and accelerating businesses in this province is necessary, and we also support the youth and the idea-making forces.

Presence of Creative Human Resources in the Province

The president of the national elites foundation emphasized the use of local belongings, adding: one of the valuable resources of this province is the existence of motivated and enthusiastic young people who are creative and skilled in the field of technology.
