This economy is already growing well in the country, in a way that 5,300 knowledge-based companies are operating in this economy and last year their sales were 120,000 billion Tomans. In addition, about 37 of these companies with a value of 200,000 billion Tomans are on the stock market.

Sattari added: all of this is the result of creating an ecosystem. This ecosystem includes science and technology parks, growth centers, accelerators, innovation centers, startups and knowledge-based companies.

Development of Venture Capitals as a Way to Expand Knowledge-based Economy

The president of the national elites foundation considered the development of venture capitals as a way to develop the knowledge-based economy in the country, adding: in this economy, banks are doomed to change the way they operate and must replace loans with venture capital.

He regarded the expansion of the innovation zone in different cities another necessity for the development of the ecosystem, asserting: the formation of innovation factories with the cooperation of the private sector is another important issue that should be considered in this area.

According to Sattari, the knowledge-based economy is, in a sense, the economy of young people whose minds are their capital, not the amount of money.

Strengthening the Innovation and Technology Ecosystem in Different Cities

The president of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy expressed: therefore, our trip to different provinces is to strengthen this ecosystem. Yazd province also has an extraordinary capacity in this area. There are many changes in the area now that I compare the activities in this field with my first trip to Yazd in 2013.

The vice president for science and technology affairs added: these days, the knowledge-based economy has taken its place among everyone, and many people, even ordinary people, talk about it. Because people see the impact of science and knowledge in their daily lives.

According to Sattari, these days, we are witnessing the activity of the Sajam Bourse system, by which 1.2 million people were identified within a month. Artificial intelligence and technology in this system are the latest technologies in the world.

High Capacity of Yazd

Sattari mentioned: billions of transactions in the country are done daily by domestic software without the slightest error. All this shows the ability of the activists of this ecosystem. We have dealt with corona disease properly and have met the country’s needs in different areas of masks, disinfectants and medical equipment (e.g., ventilators). Yazd was also one of the first provinces to solve the mask problem with the efforts of its technologists.

According to the president of the national elites foundation, Yazd is one of the first provinces in which the Science and Technology Park started its activities. This issue shows the view that exists in the province.

Pointing out the proper activities of the innovation and technology ecosystem in Yazd, Sattari marked: this increases our responsibility to develop the infrastructures for knowledge-based economy. Innovation factory and innovation area development is one of the issues that should be pursued in this field. In addition, the provincial research and technology fund should be developed. Because the development axis of startups and young people have ideas. Until the end of this government, we will do our best to make the projects come to fruition.
