Meeting of the vice president for science and technology affairs with minister of transport and innovation Austria

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Parviz Karami, advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, explained about the plans of the second day of the trip of the high-ranking delegation of science and technology of Iran to Austria with the supervision of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology. Karami stated: on March 1st, 2017, the vice president for science and technology affairs met with George Leach, minister of transport and innovation of Austria. During this meeting, both parties emphasized on the importance of developing technology and innovation cooperation and strengthening the relationships between the two countries.

He continued: in this meeting, the minister of transport and innovation of Austria welcomed the plan of signing a cooperation agreement between Iran and his country.

The president of headquarter of developing culture of science, technology, and knowledge-based economy also expressed that the minister of transport and innovation of Austria admired the progress made in Iran in various scientific and technological fields. He added: Leach also focused on the future collaborations between Austria and Iran regarding development of infrastructures of transportation.

Karami pointed out: on the second day of this trip, there was a joint meeting between Iranian and Austrian knowledge-based companies in the form of a business forum, attended by technology companies of both countries. It should be mentioned that three cooperation agreements in the private sector were signed in this meeting.

He also affirmed: at the beginning of this meeting, Sattari explained about the importance of technological cooperation between the two countries, asserting the capabilities of our country in knowledge-based economy field and creation of the required economic and technology foundation by knowledge-based companies of the two countries for technology interactions, export and expressing the opportunities and academic interactions.

Advisor to the head of national elites foundation talked about other plans of this meeting, conveying: during this meeting, the present companies discussed their situations and business-to-business meetings were held.

Karami also stated: on the evening of the second day of this trip, the vice president for science and technology affairs met with Gernot Grimm, minister of transport, innovation and technology of Austria. This meeting was held to discuss the cooperation capacities of the two countries and areas of interaction and collaboration between students and activists in both countries companies.

Another plan of Sattari for this trip was to have an interview with the national television network of Austria and Wiener Zeitung newspaper.

 

According to this report, Sattari was accompanied by Mahmoud Sheikh Zeinoddin, secretary of the exhibition and deputy of science and technology department, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iranian national space administration, Saeed Sarkar, secretary of nanotechnology headquarter, Parviz Karami, president of headquarter of developing culture of science, technology, and knowledge-based economy, Siroos Vatankhah, secretary of the headquarter of renewable energy technology development, Seyed Ahmad Reza Alaei Tabatabaei, director general for technology exchange, Abdollah Molaei, Iranian ambassador in Austria, Seyed Ali Akramifar, president of the center for innovation and technology cooperation, Hossein Ahmadi, director of international affairs of the center for innovation and technology cooperation, Hamid Bayat, foreign ministry deputy director general of west Europe and more than 50 managers of knowledge-based companies and activists in the field of technology.
