Expanded Cooperation of Iran and Indonesia in Nano Technology Area

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, nano technology achievements of Iran were introduced and active companies of the two countries negotiated over nano subjects. One of the interesting controversies of this joint meeting was introduction of technological achievements of two Iranian countries in the field of production of polymer nanocomposites.

This meeting was attended by Saeed Sarkar, secretary of nano technology development headquarter, Valiollah Mohammadi Nasabadi, Ambassador of Iran in Jakarta, deputy minister of economic affairs of Indonesia, advisers to ministers of science, research and higher education and industry of Indonesia, representatives of 12 Iranian companies that produce nano products, and a number of managers and experts of affiliated ministries and units of Indonesia and more than 60 Indonesian companies that are eager to be active in the area of nano technology.

Saeed Sarkar stated in this meeting: Iran and Indonesia are at the stage of moving from resource-based to knowledge-based economy.

According to Sarkar, nano has been a revolutionary element of technology. In this regard, he expressed: in the area of nano technology, Iran simultaneously initiated its activities with some developed countries, including Japan and America. However, today, Iran has ranked fourth in the world in terms of science production in this area.

Mohammad Nasir, minister of science, research and higher education of Indonesia, explained about the plan of his country for establishing 100 technology parks and emphasized the possibility of cooperation between the countries.

Head of innovation center of ministry of science in Indonesia asserted: a three-phase plan, which will be performed in five years, has been created by this country located at eastern south of Asia. In the first phase, products, such as food, chemical compounds and textiles will be covered. However, polymer and automotive, and building and electronics will be covered in the second and third stages.

Rudy Rajab, deputy chairman of the Middle East and Islamic committee of Indonesia chamber of commerce, also pointed out the novelty of nano technology in Indonesia, considering small and medium companies as the most important area for development of nano cooperation.

In this meeting, two Iranian companies introduced their latest technological achievements to industrial companies of Indonesia.

Along with this meeting, an exhibition was held to showcase nanotechnology products, so that Iranian and Indonesian companies could exchange knowledge and improve the economic relation of the two countries based on nano technology by introducing their products.

 

The specialized joint meeting of Iran and Indonesia was held with the cooperation of nano technology development headquarter of Iran and ministry of industry of Indonesia in line with the implementation of general policies of economy of resistance and the goal of wealth creation through regional relations.
