Customs is evolving with knowledge-based innovation
Pointing out the importance of role of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs in activity of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, Sattari stated: customs processes are evolving with the use of knowledge-based enterprise innovation.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited the Shahid Rajaee Quay during his one-day trip to Hormozgan province and visited the smart system monitoring trade, seal tracking system and integrated port customs system.
During the visit, Sattari talked about the role of knowledge-based companies in evolution of customs processes, adding: the facilitation and evolution of customs processes is achieved through the assistance of knowledge-based companies.
In some cases, the entry of a knowledge-based company can save a lot of money on customs and speed up customs clearance by data processing and risk analysis of any import or export cargo.
Pointing out the implementation of the “Comprehensive Customs Administration System” by the young elites of Tehran University in the form of a knowledge-based company, Sattari affirmed: launched with the help of a young group, the system laid the foundation for establishing the electronic customs. This system eliminated the time-consuming and complicated paper processes that were sometimes corrupt.
The Customs Will Be Equipped by Iranian-made “X-ray container”
The vice president for science and technology affairs pointed out the successful experience of creating an x-ray container with the help of a knowledge-based company, adding: soon we will witness the installation of the first X-ray container made in Iran in Shahid Rajaee Quay with the help of customs managers.
Sattari expressed his hope that: all customs of the country will be equipped with this device, and Iran will reach self-efficacy in this area.
The president for the national elites foundation appreciated the support of the knowledge-based companies of the field by the managers and experts of Iran customs, mentioning: fortunately, customs provisions are well implemented in the law for support of knowledge-based companies. We are pursuing a broader plan to facilitate the customs affairs of knowledge-based companies as authorized economic activists.
Sattari talked about the realization of support of these companies in the customs field with the director general of Shahid Rajaee Quay, aiming at facilitating and accelerating the exchange of equipment and realization of customs facilities for knowledge-based companies and economic activists.
90% of the country"s containerized goods are loaded at the complex, and knowledge-based companies have been able to meet the country"s customs needs for X-ray container in Shahid Rajaee Quay.
The complex exchanges 100 million tons of good every year, and has a very good capacity for exchange of knowledge-based products in international markets. China, Italy, India and Germany are import and export bases for these products.
Establishing a specialized social network between business and importers, exporters and business activists is in its final stages.
In another part of the trip, Sattari opened “Hormuz Innovation Tower” in Bandar Abbas.
