Construction of Iran Science and Technology Park accelerated; Sattari: The innovation ecosystem is expanding with the country's first smart city

The Vice President of Science and Technology visited the construction process of the Iranian Science and Technology Park in the newly established city of Island.

During the visit, Vice President of Science and Technology Sorena Sattari said that the way to create the first smart city in the country has been paved, adding that the capacity created for the science and technology park has accelerated the process of forming a smart city.

The 1,400-hectare's commercial and leisure resort town is home to a range of leisure, accommodation and technology centers. 43 hectares of this complex is dedicated to the Iranian Science and Technology Park and has the capacity to establish knowledge-based companies, technology accelerators and creative and cultural industries.



Referring to the support of the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology for the development of knowledge-based infrastructure in the country, Sattari added: "The purpose of this visit is to support the development of innovation and technology ecosystem for companies and individuals who take steps to solve society's problems with innovative services and solutions.".


Referring to the seriousness of establishing knowledge-based companies, technology units and creative industries in the Iranian Science and Technology Park, the Vice President of Science and Technology said: "By supporting this technology complex, we try to develop advanced technologies while flourishing the capabilities of the smart city."
