In the Presence of the Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs;

A specialized mining and metallurgy accelerator was opened

Sadre Farda was opened as the first specialized mining and metallurgy accelerator in the presence of Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs to accelerate the pace of providing innovative equipment and technologies in the field with the help of teams based in the center.

This accelerator operates in the specialized field of mining, mineral industries and advanced materials, and the teams stationed in it provide the products, equipment and technological services required by the mining sector of the country. The accelerator has an area of 600 m2. Currently, there are six technological teams and 10 teams will be soon established in the center. The initial capital of this accelerator is estimated at 10 billion Rials and it is predicted that in order to invest in the technological projects presented in this accelerator, one thousand billion Rials of capital will be needed in the future.

Mining Products Will Be Domesticized

Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated during the opening ceremony of the accelerator, expressing: despite the good progress that has been made in the field of advanced materials and mining in the country, some of the advanced materials required by the country are still supplied from abroad. Recently, a new sanction has been made against Iran and some of the alloys required by the industry were included in the sanctions list. This dependency will decrease when the private sector enters the field and supports centers such as Sadr with the help of the innovative ideas of the technological youth.

The Sanction Opportunity Will Be Used

Pointing out the importance of developing specialized accelerators, the vice president for science and technology affairs added: we hope that many alloys and advanced materials required by the country will be localized soon due to the cooperation formed with the Social Security Investment Company and Sadr Tamin.

The challenges facing the import of alloys and advanced materials required by the country have provided an opportunity for mining innovation ecosystem activists to reduce or even eliminate the country's need for imports in this field by localization.

The president of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy continued: the localization of many alloys and advanced materials required by the country requires large investments, which we hope will be achieved with the cooperation of collections such as Shasta. Due to the innovative activities of knowledge-based and technology companies, good things will happen in the field of mining in the future.

Evaluation of Technological Needs in Mining Field Will Be Accelerated

In addition, Hamid Latifi, the secretary of the photonics, laser, advanced materials and construction technologies development headquarter, was another lecturer of the ceremony. He explained about the activities performed in the field, stating: due to the collaborations with the Social Security Investment Company and Sadr Tamin, the idea of forming a specialized accelerator was proposed, which was finally implemented.

The Social Security Investment Company Will Support Innovative Companies

During the ceremony, Mohammad Rezvanifar, the CEO of the Social Security Investment Company, affirmed: in the new direction of Social Security Investment Company, we have moved from establishing economic firms to entrepreneurship. Investing in sectors that are not attractive to the private sector, as well as investing in knowledge-based and technology companies, is among the programs of this collection.
