“Health Tourism” is the Axis for Development of Less-privileged Provinces
As one of the areas of creative industries, health tourism can bring a considerable cash.
The border provinces, in the meantime, enjoy the privilege of being close to health tourism destinations. Due to its geographical location and neighboring countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Oman and having the necessary infrastructure, Sistan and Baluchestan province can attract health tourists. Motivated human resources have also added to this capability.

Ali Tanakian, one of the activists in the field of creative industries based on the innovation center of creative industries in the science and technology park of Sistan and Baluchestan province, explained: being adjacent to three countries of Oman, Afghanistan and Pakistan has created a great opportunity for development of health tourism in this part of the country.
According to Tanakian, provincial residents" kinship with some of the neighboring countries, along with exchange rate differences and the presence of physicians in some disciplines, has provided a platform for attracting health tourists.
He added: projects such as the creative industries program can be a platform for young people interested in the theoretical field of the area, and they can gain legal and material support with the creation of creative companies.
The development program of creative and cultural ecosystem formed in the soft and identity-making technologies development headquarter has considered the provinces of West and East Azerbaijan, Khorasan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and southern and northern provinces as suitable regions for the development of health tourism.
