Ruhollah Dehghani, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, during a field visit and examination of the capacities in creating productive and knowledge-based cities in the field of agriculture, referring to supporting the creation of a market for knowledge-based and technological companies through the construction of productive and knowledge-based towns, said: The supreme leader of the revolution always emphasizes on creating a market for knowledge-based companies in his statements. We have also put this strategy at the forefront of the vice presidency of science, and we are looking for a platform to connect the real market to companies in priority and important areas such as health, food security, energy, agriculture and other areas that are tied to the knowledge-based economy.

Dehghani considered productive and knowledge-based towns to be a model that meets the needs of the society with the help of technology, innovation and private sector participation and continued: These towns are supposed to be launched and put into operation based on the people's economy. For knowledge-based and technological companies, mentors and raw materials and inputs and other components of the agricultural technology and innovation ecosystem.

He added: In general, a complete and economic model whose goal is to meet people's needs in all priority areas should be created in the country. The correct form and method of knowledge-based economy should be implemented in the form of a suitable model so that the private sector and people are encouraged to enter this field. We are trying to create this pattern and implement this process so that other people and sectors are encouraged to work in this field.

It should be mentioned that the support for the creation of productive and knowledge-based towns is done in line with the agreement that was previously concluded between the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad, which focuses on supporting knowledge-based and technology companies, modeling and implementing the model. Favorable and innovative activities are carried out in the field of agriculture.

For the initial implementation of this project, a land area of ​​200 to 300 hectares was visited, and this capacity is supposed to be created for knowledge-based and technological companies to implement technology from the beginning stage to the market in this town.
