The Smart Power Plant Condition Monitoring Center's inauguration ceremony was held at the Shariati Combined Cycle Power Plant in Mashhad. Hossein Afshin, Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, was present at the site of the power plant.

The Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, referring to the support for Afghan elites and cooperation to create a technological and innovation ecosystem between the two countries, stated: "We support academics, elites, knowledge-based companies, and major technological projects that will transform Iran and Afghanistan into a common scientific ecosystem."

The Vice President of Science, Technology, and Knowledge-Based Economy considered Ilam a province rich in capable human resources and with the potential for developing a knowledge-based economy and announced the government's support for the growth of companies and the prosperity of the province's technology and innovation ecosystem.

Hossein Afshin considered Ilam Province to have high scientific and technological capacity and called for greater support for knowledge-based companies and facilitating their establishment process.

During the Vice President of Science and Technology's provincial visit to Ilam Province and his meeting and discussion with the representative of the Supreme Leader of the province, emphasis was placed on supporting the elite and talented human resources and strengthening the province's knowledge-based companies.

During a provincial visit to Ilam and at the inauguration ceremony of the Zagros Steel Company's steel ingot production project in Ivan, the Vice President of Science said: "Supporting science and technology parks, establishing an innovation center in Ivan, establishing a corporate venture capital fund, and using tax credits are among the programs of the Vice President of Science in Ilam province."
