The National Science Foundation of Iran honored the 57 winners in the 9th edition of Iran's Scientific Excellence Program during a ceremony attended by the Vice President of Science, the Research Deputy of the Minister of Science, and also Research and Technology Deputy Minister of Health, and the Secretary General of the UNESCO National Commission.

Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-based Economy, emphasizing the necessity of reviving the role of professors and universities as the source of the country's innovation and technology ecosystem, emphasizing the non-interference and any form of government ownership and the lack of university ownership in knowledge-based companies. He announced the tripling of the funds allocated to the National Science Foundation and the revival of the supporting plans of the National Elites Foundation.
