The vice president for science and technology affairs entered East Azerbaijan Province to open the innovation center and research and technology fund.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, was hosted by the governorate and local authorities upon entering the airport of Tabriz and started his one-day trip to inaugurate and visit knowledge-based companies of technology units of East Azerbaijan province.

Sattari and his delegation first visited the newly established building of Aras Growth Center. “Aras” also owned a research and technology fund. For the first time in East Azerbaijan, this fund is created to support knowledge-based, new, and startup businesses with the support of the Vice-Presidency and the private sector.

During this one-day trip, the executive operations of “Aras knowledge-based products production and export hub” were initiated. The Aras Free Zone is one of the commercial foundations of Iran and has a considerable capacity for export of knowledge-based products and technological export.

Sattari also visited the industrial town of foreign investors and knowledge-based companies of “San’at Paya Azar Sepehr” and “Hamgaman” to visit their achievements and capabilities in-person and talk to their technology activists. These two knowledge-based companies are active in the field of construction of pieces of motor vehicles and production of administrative software and communication solutions.

Inauguration of an innovation center and health accelerator in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and meeting with the representative of the Supreme Leader in this province and attending the council meeting of economy of the resistance to talk to the provincial authorities, technology and academic activists are the final part of this travel.
