One of the priorities of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs is activating the national movement of fight with coronavirus through increasing the existing abilities and capacities in the country. This goal was operationalized in joint cooperation of the Vice-Presidency with other operative units.

One of these measures is increasing the diagnostic ability of the country to identify coronavirus with the cooperation of the ministry of health.

With regard to the outbreak of coronavirus in the country, it is crucial to detect the disease in people suspected of having the virus fast. In this regard, having access to reliable laboratories equipped with the virus analysis devices is significantly prioritized.

The strategic technologies laboratory network has dedicated extensive efforts to the supply of equipment by covering the labs across the nation.

Accordingly, the strategic technologies laboratory network will collect applied equipment to identify coronavirus from member labs and establish them in predicted spaces such as clean rooms to provide the opportunity of centralized high volume diagnostic services for the corona fight committee.

The strategic technologies laboratory network started its activity in 2014 and has collected the information of 600 lab centers of universities, research centers and private sector labs across the country to be available to researchers and industries of the country.
