“The third national technomart of the country” with the title of specialized technomart of Smart Tehran was held concomitant with Smart Tehran Fair. The specialized technomart that was held with the support of FAVA organization of Tehran and the national technomart of the country, will support urban startups.

Utilizing internal capabilities, facilitating urban services, investing in urban startups, facilitating the sale of technical knowledge, and identifying and addressing the technological needs of Tehran"s municipality are among the goals set for the smart Tehran technomart.

In addition to Tehran Municipality, private companies will work in the technomart as brokers with the goal of developing the technology market in the field of urban services. These companies are members of technology business brokers’ network.

Smart city specialized technomart has aimed to act as a communication bridge between idea owners, knowledge-based companies and startups and Tehran municipality.

 The specialized brokers of the national technomart act as facilitators to create this relationship. Currently, the national technomart of the Vice-Presidency monitors the activity of 20 regional technomarts in 20 cities in Iran. In addition, three specialized technomarts in the fields of health, gas and smart city have received license for activation.

Along with the smart Tehran specialized technomart, an agreement was signed between Mohammad Farjood, the president of the information technology organization of the municipality of Tehran, and Milad Sadrkhanlou, the national technomart of Iran.

During the ceremony, the president of the national technomart of Iran stated: given the activities performed in Tehran municipality regarding automation, a foundation is laid to create the technomart with Tehran Municipality Fava. However, other cities are also able to use the potentials of the national technomart in the field of automation and the use of innovation and technology in urban management.

Milad Sardkhanlou added: the area of smart city has a very broad market for activity. Unfortunately, the necessary synergy between technology supply and demand in this field is not very high. One reason for this is the gap between technology supply and demand.

We are looking to reduce distances by holding these events. These events also provide a space for science firms to connect with the applicant"s market, industry and government agencies.

During the ceremony, the head of Fava Tehran Municipality, visited the pavilion of specialized technomart of smart city in smart city exhibition, where he talked to the audience of the pavilion and considered the cooperation between Tehran Municipality and idea owners to be positive. He described the specialized technomart of smart city as a continuous link between Tehran municipality and knowledge and technology companies.
