All over the world, people just tend to emigrate to other countries and less plan for and act on it. According to Gallup World Poll in 2017, Iran was not among the first 20 countries in terms of tendency of people to emigration.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the issue of migration, especially the migration of expert and elite human resources, has always been and remains an important issue in human societies. Parallel to the importance of this issue, many controversies and misconceptions have always cast a shadow over the realities.
Therefore, attempts will be made to respond to claims made in the form of continuous contents.
In one of the claims, the diagram of the migration of Iranians in the years following the revolution has seen a dramatic increase. In this regard, it is declared: “these figures have changed unbelievably. Iran is no longer at the bottom of the table and, conversely, and has reached the top the table. Iranians are the third people in the world to seek immigration.”
Meanwhile, according to the global bank’s data in 2017, the number of Iranian immigrants in the world was 1,237,344. Based on this data, Iran is ranked 54th out of 232 countries, which shows a 22-level increase from the 1970s, but still far from the top of the table.
In addition, Iran was not among the first 20 countries in terms of tendency of people to emigration.

According to the Gallup World Poll, Iran was ranked 7th in terms of adults willing to emigrate. If the mentioned number is calculated based on the population of countries, Iran will not be among the first 20 countries.
