According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Seyed Mohammad Sahebkar Khorasani, the head of the knowledge-based companies center, pointed out the customs activities of the center, announcing the use of customs facilities by more than 450 knowledge-based companies.

He mentioned: pursuant to Article 21 of the executive regulations of the law on the protection of companies and institutions of scientific foundations and commercialization of innovations and inventions, knowledge-based companies and institutions are exempt from paying tolls, customs duties, commercial profits and export duties.

He continued: these exemptions are classified into four categories: knowledge-based products for reverse engineering, products and pieces for production of knowledge-based prototypes and pilots, lab equipment, quality control and test and machinery production lines. Interaction with Other Units

The secretary of the working group of evaluation and detection of knowledge-based companies also marked: to date, 450 knowledge-based companies have used customs exemptions.

The member of the scientific faculty of the technology study research center asserted: companies with high customs interactions as well as at least three years of activity in the field of exports and imports and no history of trafficking, fraud and forgery of documents, can be among the authorized economic actors.

Pointing out the extensive interactions of the organization with other units in the field of export and import, he claimed: interaction with the central bank, the ministry of jihad for agriculture, the ministry of silence, the general directorate of medical equipment, the trade development organization and the radio regulatory authority is part of the cooperation between the knowledge-based companies center and other institutions to facilitate the import and export of knowledge-based goods.
