According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, pointed out the necessity of providing new patterns in biotechnology, expressing: the biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to promote, publicize, and create the culture for new patterns in biotechnology. To this end, various programs have been presented to this date.

He continued: the biotechnology development headquarter has opted for performing its duties and missions based on using human resources and facilities in relevant units in line with the national policy of reducing the size of government body by avoiding the expansion of the administrative organization.

According to Ghanei, policy-making and national planning, coordination and increased synergy of resources and facilities of the country and monitoring the biotechnology advancement in the country are among the most important responsibilities of the biotechnology development headquarter.
