The vice president for science and technology affairs participated in a ceremony to unveil six medical products concomitant with the week of government.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, entered Saveh and attended the ceremony to unveil six medical products as the head of a scientific and technological delegation.

Mahban Pharmaceutical Co. has been able to achieve the knowledge for production of six drugs (i.e., metformin HCL, celecoxib, pregabalin, vitamin A1, escitalopram, and diltiazem hydrochloride) using the abilities of domestic specialists.

The main product of this ceremony was metformin HCL, which is the most important diabetes drug in the world. The experts of this group have optimized the time and amounts of consumed solvents, which has increased the quality of the final products. Mass production of this drug could prevent the exit of 70 billion dollars from the country.  

During a one-day trip, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited Novin Nirou Technology Co., which is active in the field of water and oil, gas and petrochemistry. This company has taken important steps toward the designing, construction and hydraulic equipment of country dams. Hydro-mechanical equipment is important due to backwater dam regulation, continuous drinking water supply, and constant agricultural water supply. This matter has been localized according to the knowledge of non-Iranian technologists.

Sattari also visited Petro Gas Parsa Co. and learned about the process of this knowledge-based company. This center manufactures gas pressure reducing stations and PE connections and until a few years ago, many of the main equipment, such as high-pressure regulators, cut-off valves entered the country, have been imported to the country. By localizing these products, the company has been able to prevent the exit of currency from the country and bring currency to the country through signing contracts with European and African countries.

The pharmaceutical knowledge-based company of Rah Avar is another host of the vice president. This company is active in manufacturing all tablets, tablet covers, chemical compounds and nano products and has been able to prevent the exit of millions of currency from the country.

During the travel, the artificial basting technical Mfg. Co. will also host the vice president as a company active in production of breathable films.

The chemical industries complex of Dr. Mojalali, is the first producer of Hplc solvents in the country used in pharmaceutical, research and chemical industries, which has a technical knowledge owned by a limited number of companies. This company will also host Sattari during the trip.
