The final judgement meeting for the first round of scientific KANS competition was held at the location of the Mustafa science and technology foundation by the head of the judgment council of the event and members of specialized judgment groups.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Saeed Sohrabpour, head of the scientific KANS competition, stated on the meeting: on the first round of the competition, participants came from 15 countries, including Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Palestine, Oman, Tunisia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nigeria, Egypt and Kazakhstan.

Head of the judgement council of the scientific KANS competition expressed: judges finished their evaluations in five specialized committees and 15 individuals with the top works were selected at the end. Among these people, one person will receive the reward on the closing ceremony as the selected person. In addition, three other effective works will be appreciated as the best present.

Sohrabpour affirmed: the scientific KANS competition is a competition between students, professors and researchers below 45 years. So, it is better to determine the top selected individuals and direct them toward commercialization, so that a step is taken toward development in this field.

Head of the scientific KANS competition pointed out that the judges were selected from the prominent professors of top universities in the country, including K. N. University of Industry, Sharif University of Industry, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Isfahan, Tehran, Imam Sadegh, Alamaeh Tabatabaei, and Iran University of Science and Industry, adding: we ensure you that all works were evaluated in the judgement council by adhering to specialized principles and regulations.

The Mustafa Prize is the excellent sign of science and technology in the Islamic world, assigned to the top researcher and scholar of the Islamic world every two years. By recognizing, introducing and appreciating the top individuals in the area of science and technology in the Islamic world, the Mustafa Prize promotes science learning and research in Islamic communities.

According to the executive document of the Mustafa Prize, Sorena Sattari (the vice president for science and technology affairs) and Mahdi Safarinia (head of Pardis Technology Park) are the head and secretary of the policy-making council of the event, respectively.
