According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, expressed on a specialized meeting in the presence of members of the homogeneous industries, motorsports and vehicle manufacturers association: the Vice-Presidency will definitely support creative ideas in this field. For instance, we will support the production of smart and electric cars.

An Industry is not Knowledge-based if Its First Problem is Finance

Sattari pointed out the main issue discussed in the knowledge-based field, affirming: without a doubt, when we talk about knowledge-based, our only issue is not financial supports. In fact, we talk about healthy circulation in this business environment.

Mentioning the fact that an industry is not knowledge-based if its first problem is finance, asserting: the Vice-Presidency has entered various fields, including stem cells, medical plants, medicine and bio-tech, nano and ICT. However, one of the rare fields with limited experience of cooperation and lack of familiarity with creative ideas is the automotive industry.

The vice president for science and technology affairs continued: unfortunately, the industry growth has been in the ecosystem, where the request and expectation of creating innovation is not taken seriously.

Sattari pointed out the prominent technologies presented in the world, marking: review of innovative ideas in the world demonstrates that innovation is a type of creation. For example, apple, which was not even a part of the industry, was also able to bring the technology on the market with innovative creativity.

He expressed: the design of the idea by craftsmen on the one hand and the industry"s relationship with the universities on the other can bring about the creation of knowledge.

The vice president for science and technology affairs explained about the platform created in the field of knowledge-based, asserting: more than 130 types of services are provided in the field of knowledge-based. In addition, with regard to the planning made by the Vice-Presidency, proper facilities are currently provided to knowledge-based companies in customs and tax discussions.

He added: in line with customs facilities provided to active knowledge-based companies in the automotive manufacturing industry, other facilities will be provided in the fields of clearance, export and even tax exemptions in some cases.

An Efficient Look at Knowledge-based Facilities

The vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the new approach applied by the Iranian national science foundation, stating: according to the approach applied by Iran national science foundation, in different sectors, such as issuing guarantees, providing loans in industrial and agricultural fields, leasing and insurance, we will have a different and more efficient look.

Pointing out the fact that we currently have export representatives in 30 countries of the world, Sattari claimed: fortunately, we have a position in terms of export corridor in a way that we have 45 export headquarters in the world today.

In another part of the meeting, Ali Vahdat, head of the Iranian national science foundation, pointed out the proper capacities in the automotive industry of the country, conveying: the foundation can be involved in various ways, including leasing, establishing technology funds, venture capitals services, and better communication with international customers.
