The Advisor to the Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs: IRIB Will Make New Knowledge-based Programs

During IRIB Chairman and officials’ visit of Pardis Technology Park, the secretary of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy stated: the bilateral cooperation of the Vice-Presidency and the national media has been significant. With regard to the emphasis made by the Supreme Leader, IRIB has aimed to reach the voice of the ecosystem to community to support the knowledge-based ecosystem.

Parviz Karami, the advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, explained the history and details of bilateral cooperation between IRIB and the Vice-Presidency, stating: IRIB has made commendable efforts to echo and introduce the efforts of knowledge-based activists in the community. However, bilateral cooperation in the second step of the revolution must be pursued in a more structured way.

Development of Bilateral Cooperation

The plenipotentiary representative of the Vice-Presidency in IRIB stated: in the meeting between the president and the officials of the two institutions, very good agreements were reached, and according to the orders and actions of the esteemed president of IRIB, knowledge-based and technology activists will soon have a large presence in various TV and radio networks.

Karami added: with regard to the agreement made, it was decided to establish a joint committee to follow-up new programs.

During the meeting, the secretary of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy was determined as the representative of the Vice-Presidency and coordinator of knowledge-based companies with the national media representative.

Creating Several New Programs

The president of the Communication and Information Center added: according to the order of the head of IRIB, 50% of programs of Channel 4 are allocated to the reflection of these activities in the knowledge-based ecosystem as Danesh Channel of the country.

In this meeting, which was held in the presence of Ali Foroughi, the head of Channel 3, it was approved that this network creates several new programs to introduce the knowledge-based economy of products, services and capabilities of knowledge-based, creative and technology companies to society.

The secretary of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy pointed out the details of the programs, affirming: creating a new round of technological programs, developing ads and producing new documentaries about the innovation ecosystem of the country are other goals set in this area.

He also explained about decision-making for programs, adding: in this meeting, producing a TV series on knowledge-based economy and technological companies is on the agenda. In addition, he announced that a part of news programs will be dedicated to this area.

Culture-building in Toddlers

The secretary of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy mentioned: TV and radio programs will introduce knowledge-based products based on strategies determined by the joint committee. The president of IRIB also marked that Nahal Network must create programs for children and toddlers to learn about the knowledge-based ecosystem.

According to Karami, deciding about the content of new programs and following up the decisions made in the meeting are among the responsibilities of the joint committee.
