According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the convergent technologies strategic center announced a call with the title of “newly emerged corporations in the area of convergent technologies” to accelerate the pace of new businesses with its support. However, recognition of active startups in this field and introducing them to accelerators and support centers for product development and gathering technologists, investors and business developers to commercialize innovative products are among the main goals of this call.

Startups in the area of convergent technologies will have until August 22^nd 2018 to send their projects and ideas. On the other hand, those with evaluated projects and ideas will have the opportunity of participating in the pre-accelerator course. In this event, 12 meetings will be held, during which the new startups will learn about the market development methods in the presence of young professors currently returned from Europe and with a high potential in this field. Generally, these individuals have passed these courses and have startups.

According to this report, 13 teams will participate the first round of pre-acceleration of startups in the field of convergent technologies to develop their business model. In these courses, startups will learn about proper methods to present their model to investors. They also learn about product analysis to find their market. All startups present in this course are “high tech” and work in relevant fields, such as nano, bio, cognitive, and communication technologies.

Call for newly emerged corporations in the area of convergent technologies was announced by the convergent technology strategic center and with the support of knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter. In this call, accelerators, innovation centers and investment funds will be present as technology development supporters.
