Opening an Innovation Center; Golestan Province Hosted Health Technologies

During his trip to Golestan Province, the vice president for science and technology affairs opened the first health innovation center to expand the medical technology and equipment ecosystem.

Providing online and video medical services, remote visits and guidance to patients for the next stages of treatment, are among the services provided by this health innovation center. The health innovation center of Golestan University of Medical Sciences brings innovative ideas in the field of health to the stage of growth and commercialization with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and on the infrastructure of technology and science park.

16 technology units and 4 knowledge-based companies operate in the growth center of Golestan University of Medical Sciences, which, by creating this innovation center, provides the ground for turning innovative ideas into knowledge-based businesses.

Production of lab slides (glass blade), application design, production of various types of specialized ointments, production of surface disinfectants and mouthwash are a part of the activities of knowledge-based units and companies of Golestan University of Medical Sciences.

During his trip to Golestan Province, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited the education, research and food technology complex in the university of agricultural sciences and natural resources.

With the creation of this innovation center, more than 7,000 m2 of infrastructure space was added to the province's health innovation ecosystem to produce knowledge-based products.

In addition, the research and technology fund of Golestan Province was opened with a primary capital of 50 billion Rials with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the private sector.

This fund has been set up to pay low-interest facilities to the implementers of innovative projects. The Innovation Center also has 1,200 m2 of space to support scientific elites and entrepreneurs and develop knowledge-based activities.

Attending the meeting of knowledge-based economy and production leap and the start of the operation of Gonbad Kavus Innovation Factory were other parts of Sattari’s trip to Golestan Province.
