More than 140 cognitive science labs have been established

Announcing a call, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter will support research projects to make achievements and introduce technologies to the community. The headquarter has supported the establishment of more than 140 labs over the publication of 12 calls.

Implementation of research projects in the field of cognitive sciences based on the community’s needs has been one of the goals of these calls. To date, 12 calls have been published to support the researchers in the field. In addition, the 13th call will be published in June. Identification of comprehensive cognitive issues in the community is the topic of the 13th call to support research projects.

The projects approved in the 13th call include a combination of at least two final dissertations (MSc and PhD) that must be within the framework of the priorities of the headquarter in line with research and technology development goals.

Supporting research projects simplifies access to cognitive services and technologies in the society. This is mainly due to the fact that researchers can better move toward turning their ideas into services and facilities by receiving support in this field.

More than 120 labs have been established in science, education and specialized centers for research activities of cognitive science professors and researchers with the support of the headquarter and in the form of publication of 12 calls. In addition, the headquarter has successfully finished 90 projects by supporting more than 240 research projects in this area.

Areas such as Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Rehabilitation, Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Technology, Cognitive Education, Cognitive Linguistics, and Cognitive Modeling are among these projects. Currently, research projects in the field of psychometrics, cognitive development and stem cell application in the field of cognitive sciences are underway.

In addition to motivating researchers, this support for researchers in the field of cognitive sciences has led to the localization of equipment in this field, and so far a variety of devices and tools have been developed, including recording brain signals, brain stimulation, and brain imaging.
