According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, meeting of the executive committee of the high commissioner for international technology cooperation between Iran and Russia was held at the location of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs with the goals of evaluation of progress of the defined projects, barriers and problems related to 10 brokers of the commission and preparing the preliminaries for holding the 4^th meeting of the high council of technology of the two countries in the presence of heads of the executive committee of this commission and presidents of some brokerages.

During this meeting, Ali Morteza Birang, deputy for international affairs and technological exchange, pointed out the background and experiences of exchanged delegations of the two parties in line with the realization of goals of this commission, mentioning the significant progress of most of the brokerages and willingness of the two parties toward development of scientific and technological cooperation.

Mikhaylov, head of the executive committee of the commission and member of science academy of Russia, pointed out the positive scientific and technological cooperation of the two countries from the establishment of this commission two years ago, expressing his willingness toward continuing this cooperation in line with the high commission of collaborations.

Formation of Joint Agricultural and Marine Workgroups

During this meeting, the executive condition of each of the 10 workgroups were evaluated by the Iranian and Russian parties. In addition, it was decided that the “agricultural” and “marine” workgroups by added to the list of workgroups of the high commission due to the recommendation of the Russian and Iranian parties, respectively.

Aiming to accelerate the progresses and defined projects of workgroups, from the Iranian side Ahmad Alaei, director general of the office of technology exchange, and from the Russian side, Abedinof, chairman of the Iranian-Russian trade council in the Russian chamber of commerce, were selected to follow up the mentioned processes.

Furthermore, it was concluded that the preliminaries for holding the fourth high commission of technological collaborations of the two countries, head of which is Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs of Iran and Dmitry Rogozin, deputy prime minister of Russia, be provided until the end of this year.
