Head of ESCAP Commission stated: development of technology positively affects the environment and economy of countries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Alice Jabana, Head of ESCAP Commission, expressed on the opening ceremony of the first Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum that ESCAP has attempted to use technology for national development of countries. She expressed: countries must realize that technology development plays an important in their economic boosting.

She continued: ESCAP has made efforts to provide equal opportunities for normal people to present their innovative ideas and play a role in the development of technology and innovation.

According to Jabana, the first Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum has aimed to assess the problems in the field of technology in the presence of international players of the field and provide a solution.

She also mentioned: we seek exchange of experiences between the current countries of the forum in the field of technology development to obtain sustainable development in these areas.
