According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs quoted by the news headquarter of the second day of the second national, cultural, and art festival of “Made in Iran”, the educational workshop of “graphic design with an Iranian identity” was on the second day of the event. Behnam Zangi, a professor at Tarbiat Modares University, and Mahdi Mohammadi, were the instructors of the educational workshop.
In this workshop, Zangi pointed out the branding of products, asserting: many popular brands owe this familiarity to the efforts of artists. However, we have failed to introduce a global brand in Iran. While the Iranian carpet is global it is not recognized as “Farsh” in the world and is known as “Carpet”, which is a worthless word since we have not transferred our name and culture when exporting this product.
During the workshop, Mahdi Mohammadi explained about the engaging of graphic designers with a topic. The event was held in Amirkhani Hall and was attended by a number of students and enthusiasts in the field of graphic design.
