Chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration stated: one of the acceptable advancements of the country in the space field is in the area of manufacturing research satellites and launchers.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration, expressed about the space achievements of the country: in terms of research satellites and launchers, our country has had considerable improvements since we have been able to manufacture 10 various research and telecommunication satellites.

He pointed out the second 10-year space plan, which involves the development of space infrastructures and launching operational satellites, asserting: we aim to achieve the ability to construct a satellite with a 700-kg power to be launched in a one-thousand-km circuit from earth. In this regard, construction of a 200-kg telecommunication satellite and remote sensing satellites is another mission expressed on the second 10-year space program of the country. 

According to Manteghi, construction of small satellites and cost-effective launchers has been another goal of the plan, for which international cooperation has been developed in the space field.
