102 Works Are Accepted in the Visual Arts Section of Made in Iran Exhibition
At the end of judging the works sent to the second national festival of Made in Iran, 102 works were selected by the judging panel of the visual arts section.
According to the news headquarter of the national, cultural, and art festival of Made in Iran, the final evaluation of the works sent to the second festival of Made in Iran was carried out in the presence of the judging panel and the selected works of this section were introduced.
Masoud Shojaei Tabatabaei, the specialized secretary of the visual arts section of the festival, announced the selection of 102 works for this part of the festival, expressing: the works are evaluated in three regions of cartoons, illustrations and posters. In the end, 102 works are selected to be exhibition in Made in Iran exhibition.
Qualitative Improvement of Works Compared to the Previous Round
Shojaei Tabatabaei continued: in addition, the selected works of the two posters and cartoons sections are determined, where one work will receive the main award and three other works will be appreciated. While no work was selected in the illustration section, there was a development of quality in the works sent in other sections, compared to the previous round.
Bahram Azimi, Ali Hashemi Shahraki, Abbas Sanei, and Seyed Hasan Mousazadeh were the judges of this section. However, Isa Keshavarz was present as the representative of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter.
Creation of New Works for “Made in Iran”
Bahram Azimi, an outstanding artist of the cartoon arena, expressed about this section: various festival are held in the country every year. Nonetheless, the important issue is creating works for these events by artists. Accordingly, “Made in Iran” is an event with a specific topic.
Moreover, Hasan Mousazadeh, another judge of this section, marked: the “Made in Iran” topic is a national issue that must be the concern of all people. Nevertheless, concern is created by increasing the quality of Iranian products. If the Iranian products are defendable, artists will definitely support them.
Creation of Works by Trusting in the Topic of “Made in Iran”
Ali Hashemi Shahraki, another judge of this section, believes that participants must attend the event by trusting in the topic of the festival. If that is the case, works can be created with no exaggeration or cliché. This has been apparent in the works sent to the festival, and some of the works have been created with a belief in the topic of the festival.
According to this report, 840 works were sent to the visual arts section of the festival, 93, 305, 230, and 212 of which were related to the sections of illustrations, posters, cartoons (caricature), and photography, respectively. However, the photography section of the festival is held in the form of the exhibition of the photo of the year.
The second national, cultural and art festival of “Made in Iran” will be held December 25th-29th, 2018 with the goals of mainstreaming and content production for cyberspace related to the cycle of commercialization, entrepreneurship and knowledge-based economy, support of Iranian-made knowledge-based products and services, organizing excessive import and valuating high-quality Iranian products and services, and helping the branding of high-quality Iranian products. It should be noted that various sections of the festival include literature, visual arts, audiovisual economy, digital media and idea market and student section, which will be carried out by the efforts f the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and with the help of Parviz Karami, secretary of the mentioned headquarter.
