The vice president for science and technology affairs entered Fars Province to visit the abilities of knowledge-based and technological companies in the administrative council meeting. In this travel, the “PersisGene” accelerator was opened as well.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, during the last days of the Persian year (97), Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, was welcomed by the governor and other authorities of Fars province and entering the province with the goal of expanding the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship.

In this travel, PersisGene” accelerator was opened in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs. This accelerator initiated its activities with the support of the private sector and the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and its goal is paving the way for development and commercialization of products of startups in the pharmaceutical area.

Attending “Shiraz Industrial Town” was another part of this travel. Sattari went to Fateh San’at kimia Co., Fanavaran Shayan Tarh Co., Kart Etebar Fars Production, Tavan Mehvar Azin San’at, and Single-system Energy Data. In addition to familiarization with technological and innovative achievements, Sattari talked with the technologists of these companies.

After that, the knowledge-based companies and startups based in the science and technology park of the province showcased their achievements and abilities to the vice president. Sattari also visited the innovation center of University of Shiraz, and in addition to visiting the innovative and technological projects, he visited “Quantum Accelerator”, which trains entrepreneurs to discover, create, and expand transformative innovations and creative knowledge-based products.

Visit of Comprehensive Rehabilitation Stem Cells and Medical Center of Shiraz, Iranian telecommunication factories and technology units based on research tower of Mohammad Rasoulallah are other parts of the travel.

The vice president for science and technology affairs will also attend the administrative council meeting of Fars Province, which will be held in the presence of provincial authorities, to talk about knowledge-based economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem.
