According to the Communication and Information Center in the Presidential Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, Hossein Afshin, the Vice President of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, introduced the province as one of the strengths for the development of knowledge-based companies and innovative activities in a meeting held with the presence of university presidents, members of parliament, the governor, and elites of Ilam province.
Referring to the population of more than 20,000 active students in Ilam Province, he stated in this meeting: "This province is rich in human resources and has a high capacity to transform creative ideas into technological products and knowledge-based companies." The Vice President of Science and Technology, criticizing the low number of knowledge-based companies in Ilam Province compared to other provinces in the country, emphasized the need to support elites and innovative ideas, and said: "Increasing the number of knowledge-based companies in Ilam Province requires comprehensive support and facilitating the process of establishing such companies."
Afshin also pointed out the readiness of the vice-presidency to support research and innovative projects in the province, saying: We are fully prepared to support innovative projects and creative ideas in cooperation with universities and research centers and to provide a favorable environment for the development of the knowledge-based economy in this province.
