Emphasizing the occurrence of a big event in the ecosystem of knowledge-based companies and startups in the last few years, which has led to the recognition of Iran as a startup reference at the international level, the vice president for science and technology affairs stated: Iran will dominate the international markets by relying on knowledge-based companies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, hosted the journalists and media representatives on June 9^th, 2019 to respond to their questions about the First Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum and the 8^th INNOTEX Exhibition.

Sattari talked about the hosting of ESCAP meetings and formation of an international network of startups with a focus on our country, stating: the advantage and experience of Iran in the field of startups is unique, and we are one of the bests of the world in terms of knowledge-based and startup ecosystem. Such a capacity lays the foundation for establishing a joint ecosystem according to international cooperation and penetration of technological abilities of Iran to dominate the commercial markets of other countries.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also marked: such summits can help us sustain our place in the market of other countries. In this fight, the knowledge-based and startup businesses can provide the dignity and strength of our country.

Pointing out the importance of the presence of entrepreneurs in all parts of the society in booming of the ecosystem, Sattari continued: all parts of various financial and executive units must announce their preparedness for cooperation with the ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship. Fortunately, various sections, including universities, have collaborated with this ecosystem in the past few years.

According to Sattari, one of the most important priorities of ESCAP is familiarization of other countries with the technical abilities of Iran.

Culture-building Transition of Knowledge-based and startup Companies

Sattari mentioned that the ability of service startups of Iran is several times higher than the successful global examples, adding: the new path is serious attention to advanced technologies. Service startups have been properly developed and the private sector plays a great role in this area. In addition, we have focused on the development of startups in the field of advanced technologies, such as stem cells, environment, and recombinant drugs.

Sattari regarded fintech startups as successful examples of the ecosystem of creating innovative ideas in the country. In addition, he expressed his hope about the development of the startup ecosystem and commercialization of startup and knowledge-based achievements at the international level by holding the Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum and the INOTEX exhibition.

The first Asia-Pacific Innovation Forum will be held June 11^th-12^th, 2019 in the presence of more than 60 countries and the INOTEX exhibition during June 9^th-12^th, 2019 in the international exhibition center of Tehran by the efforts of the Vice-Presidency.
