Secretary of biotechnology development headquarter stated: using bio-fuels can be a solution for maintaining natural resources of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mostafa Ghanei, secretary of biotechnology development headquarter, mentioned about the importance of using bio-fuels in the country, stating: protecting the environment and improving health are among the reasons for the diversification of the energy basket in the world. Therefore, the biotechnology development headquarter is seriously following up the realization of the diverse energy basket in the country.

He added: bio-fuels are among the renewable resources and play no role in increase of environmental pollutants. Therefore, using them will cause no damage to the environment.

According to Ghanei, production of bio-fuels from waste and non-fossil sources and the gradual replacement of oil resources with these energies will have many economic benefits.

He also asserted: bio-fuels or renewable energies are a type of fuel produced from biomass resources. These fuels do not have fossil fuel pollution and are renewable.
